Computers, cocktails.

Last night D and I watched Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970), a charming technothriller in which a Scientist makes a supercomputer, the US government hooks up all its missiles to the supercomputer and sets it on autodrive, and everyone is baffled when the computer takes over the world.  I was pretty much rooting for Colossus over humanity after it and I shouted this in tandem at Dr. Forbin as he performed a dubious operation at the bar in his bachelor pad:

If and when we finally succumb to the (literal) global fascist machine, we can only hope it is one that knows how to make a proper martini.
