  1. I got 100-100-80, and I still don’t buy her explanation of hanged/hung. It’s been interchangeable in the vernacular for so long that I don’t think the rule exists any more.

    • I see your point, and this is exactly the kind of thing I’ve lately been tempted to write letters about. Not open letters; actual “Dear person or agency who is ruining my life with the stupid typo in your signage” letters. I fear it is a sign of a greater unhinging to come.

        Two of my co-workers are discussing ewoks– heatedly– in the next cubicle over. Why didn’t I get into academia again?
